Epoxy Paint

Is Epoxy paint safe to use as a clear coat for something to put in the tank. I have these cute decorations I would like to put in the fish tank but im not sure what they are made of so I wanted to seal them with some type of clear coat. I was reading about epoxy paint and was wondering if anyone has ever used this or some other type of seal

Most two part epoxy, as an adhesive, is acceptable in the food industry. Epoxy paint (one-part) is really just a hard enamel, like nail polish. Once completely dry, it is also harmless to living things. If properly applied, quality epoxy paint or enamel won't chip unless really roughly handled.

What exactly do you want to put in your tank that you think might need sealing? Maybe you could make a different choice rather than take a chance.
