A wild new Betta Keeper appears!

Hello everyone!

My nickname is Stew, I've been lurking a while here when my ex-girlfriend bought a Betta couple months ago. So, yesterday I decided to let my temptations and took one.

Right now he's in a basic Marina Betta Fish Tank.. with no heater, but it's at room temp. (25c) I guess.. it's all right for now. I'll need to get more supply. Still, it's better than where it was the poor one.. in a silly bag. :(

I didn't thought of a name yet.. I'm wondering still if it's a male or a female.
I'm going to take pictures soon, I have some in my cellphone but the quality is a little blurry cause of the water.. I'm searching for my cable's camera!

So yea.. that's pretty much all I have to say RIGHT now.. ^^
Hope we will get along, everyone~ :)

Here's a less resolution of my new Betta!

I am still wondering if it's normal all these bubbles. It wasn't there before I slept.
But I finally know now it's a male.. I just need to figure out a name now.

Welcome to the forum and congrats. on your new betta buddy. He's really pretty.

If you're asking about small bubbles on the glass or sides of the tank, that is perfectly normal when you first set it up. They will go away soon.

Thank you!! Hehe, I was hoping someone to catch the reference! :D
Mmmm.. I named him Night, because his head is black and it goes blue up to his tails.
Poke would have been a good name, hehee! :D

Here's a new picture of Night that we can see better.. !

I fear he isn't happy sometimes. I don't really know when they're happy actually.
At least he's doing better since he's not in the bag inside the cup when I found him.

He's probably just mopey because of the new environment. Give him a couple days and see if he doesn't perk up. He really is a pretty boy!
