Talking Happy Healthy Crowntail Update

This is my new Crown tail. I'm not sure what color to call him yet. I'm thinking Alejandro. I have had him for a whole week now and he seems to be doing great. He has even started a little bubble nest . Though he does pace back and forth a lot. I think he can see his reflection. Any idea in how to reduce that?

He's beautiful!

Here's a link for reducing reflections.

Thanks, that really helped! It's nice to see him flare, but I don't want the poor little guy to get too stressed out.

Wild type sounds great. It really fits his personality. When I first got him you couldn't see much of the light blue, but now it really stands out. I just can't believe how bright his tail is compared to his body. I'm glad I found him.

Concerned mother

Do guys see the black on the tips of his fins? Do you think it could be fin rot? I know he is a crown tail, but the tips of his anal fin look especially scraggly. He is new to me so I'm not sure if the black on the tips is normal or not. He is acting and eating normally.

Ok good! Thanks for the help. I didn't think it was, but it is really nice to have another opinion to put my mind at ease. You can never be too careful.
