My new sorority tank

So, I told my bf I wanted a new tank for my birthday. I had a one and a half gallon and a five gallon. We agreed on getting me a 10 gallon so I could start a sorority. Then I really liked the idea of a 20 gallon long tank, but when I got to the store, there was a 29 gallon even by bf couldn't take his eyes off of. Low and behold, my new tank. I am one spoiled brat and I love it. At the moment there are 11 females, 2 ADFs, and 7 ghost shrimp. Not over stocked right? What do you think? I spent all my birthday money on the tank and plants. The decorations will be coming along slowly lol. Totally worth it.

The one in solitary is my first female. She and one other female in there are the biggest. I knew I might end up separating them. This little CT female is crazy, she almost killed my other larger female. I'm hoping with some alone time she will come around but who knows? I've still got the one and a half gallon for her if she decides to be mean again.

I've been testing my water and the ph has been pretty high. Any idea on how to fix it?

How high is it? Bettas from what I understand can stand a wide range as far as PH goes. The key is keeping it stable and not having it bounce around. Lovely tank by the way. Wish I had the room to put something like that up.

It's beautiful! I don't think it is quite overstocked but I wouldn't and more fish than you have already.

Your angry female might come around once you're able to add more plants/decorations/hiding places. For now, the front of the tank is pretty open, so it's harder for aggression to diffuse :)

Looks lovely so far!

Thanks! I've already put the aggressive one in and she's doing well :) hasn't attacked anyone since. i do need to get some more decorations. Planning on getting a couple caves. I took the frogs out and about 3-4 shrimp have been removed or murdered by the fish. Thinkin of adding more females.
