Can a male betta still make bubble when the water temperature is cold? And what temperature does a male betta make bubble nest best at?

Cold water would be bad for betta. Temperture got to be atleast 75-80 F. Be best to have heater if you already had one.

Males make bubble nests when conditions are wrong as much as they do when it's right. Sometimes simply breathing in the same spot results in a bubble nest.

If you're trying to breed or condition, i'd go with 82 degrees.

78F is minimum. Lower than that may cause problems even for the adults. Ideal temp is 82-84F (28-29C). Too low or too high may make eggs/fry weak.
