He sure did seem shocked when we released him into his tank...like, 'Whoa, I can actually move!' He seems to like jetting around his tank at top speed and working on a bubblenest in his down time.
I really hate those boxes as well. When I was browsing, Clarence caught my eye because he tried to turn around to look at me but was too confined to we able to do so. He looked so sad, I took him instead of one of the younger veiltails I had been looking at.
What really gets me, is I purchased him at the Drs. Foster and Smith retail outlet....the liveaquaria.com people. They had 2 makes per tank, one free to swim and the other in a box. But they had male guppies and male bettas in the same tank...not what I expected from 'the fish experts'. Wish I could taken them all home!
