Lightbulb How much should you feed a betta?

I have had my betta fish for a couple of weeks and he seems very hungry. i bought him at petsmart and they told me three pellets per day and i feel that is too little and am wondering how much i really should feed him. I dont want him to die from starvation or anything like that..

Bettas are pigs. They are very smart and will beg for food. They can live weeks without it but they can also die from over eating.

Basically I recommend 3-6 pellets/blood worms a day for pets. Breeding stock and growing bettas require much more.

Also temperature can affect metabolism. The higher the temperature the faster their body digests food. But generally, for the average betta keeper my recommendation is fine.
