Cool Feeding question!

I feed my betta, Kaida, 2 pellets twice a day. Every so often I'll throw in some bloodworms. I read a post that said fasting once a week is good for digestion. True or false?

Also, is that a good amount of food each day?

Depends on the pellet size. The staple I use is generally smaller, so my boys get 4 pellets 2x a day. From what I understand, fasting once a week helps with digestion. Both my boys get fasted once a week on the same day.

Fasting once a week gives their bodies the chance to move everything along and lessens the chance of swim bladder issues. I don't fast mine, but I feed a variety of foods including 3 types of pellets and frozen foods :) Like Rosso said, depends on your pellet type though. I feed 6 of my smallest pellets per feeding, 4 of my medium ones and 2 of my largest pellets.
