Exclamation Can I move him while he is sick?

Ohhh Please help...my beauty is for sure bloated and constipated. (huge belly and lethargic). I prepared a new 2 Gallon tank for him but is scared that if I move him he will be more stressed :-O. Is it advisable to move him now, while he is sick. The new tank is much bigger and has a heater in.
By the way, I've tried the PEA. He Refuses. This is day two of not feeding him. I will try a live brine shrimp tonight. Any other suggestions?

If you can do so, gently coax him into a cup, this should be easy if he recognizes your finger as food. Next, float the cup in his new tank and gently and gradually exchange the water so he can adjust.

Move him the least stressful way you can: Gently scooping him with a net or using a cup to transfer him to the aquarium. If you are gentle then he should be OK.

I recommend a cup over a net. being out of water is more stressful :)

you'll want to dissolve Epsom salt, and add to his quarantine. It'll make him feel better and can help bloat. use up to 10 days, and always a few days after the bloat is gone.

Bettas can live for weeks with no food, so don't fret. When a betta is not feeling well, they tend to not eat.
