yikes

what happened happened to my beautiful snowflake? I'm guessing he got into biting again, but it seems worse than that as well. Any suggestions.

He's in a 3gallon heated 75deg far. wave front plastic tank. No other fish around at all. I only had that mirror in for about 5mins to see if he would flare to show the fin damage better, but he didn't. Only two plants are to plastic ones. a shorter small bushy one and one with two stems that go to the surface. As well as a tiki cave, tha I have never seen him go in yet.

Okay so when did you get him?

Also what is that tumor looking grayish spot right behind the dorsal. I would suggest adding aquarium salt to the tank for a week and see if you see any improvement. This doesn't look good. Sorry about the irrelevant response.

Possible bacteria infection as well. He is also really skinny. I'd do a water change, add some IAL (or dried oak or maple leaves) and watch him.

Yes. The IAL would pretty much help with everything! Maybe you can ask someone for a leaf or two?

Are there any plants (real or fake) in the tank? Any caves or other hiding places? Bettas can get bored in a bare tank. Bored Bettas will bite their tails just for something to do.

good suggestions everyone. I did have a little bottle of water conditioner for bettas that had IAL in it, but cannot find the same bottle at any other store again.

Wys- As i mentioned I do have two fake plants in there as well as a cave that i have never seen him go in before.

BL- I have had him for almost a year now. He was a beautiful pure white super delta when I got him and than he kind of marbled a bit with the red border and in the couple months got that bluish patch by his dorsal fin. I didn't think it it could be a tumour. Now your scaring me.
