I finally have my tanks near completion of their cycles. What can I do with the kritter keeper I have heaters for them they stay 76-78 degrees. I really don't want to keep any more Bettas in them. I was thinking of keeping one as a quarantine tank of course. The other I was hoping to actually maybe use for growing live foods. I doubt there is anything that would fit that bill but it's just an idea. So anything else that could live in a KK?
I ever get rid of my small tanks, I just store them. Like right now, I have 4 females my small tanks, 3 in QT and one in Recovery. I still have 2 spares, in case some of my males get sick. Or even if I come across someone ready to flush a Betta, I know I have a spare tank at home to take him and find him a home. So yeah, I'd keep them lol
You're not too far from me. Just put it outside with some water. You'll get mosquito larvae (and maybe some other things) in no time. Those make great betta live foods. I've done it a few times, and my boys can't seem to get enough! Great mosquito control those guys are!
