Hydor Mini-Heater How to use?

Hello all,

So I got the Hydor 7.5 watt mini-heater and I cannot figure out how to install it! The directions in the package say to put it on the bottom of the tank, but then also say do not put it in direct contact with anything the tempurature might harm, like the tank bottom. This makes no sense and I cannot figure it out!

The tank is a 1 gallon corner hawkeye with an undergravel filter, if that helps. I know the filter itself has to be on the very bottom of the tank to work, with gravel on top of it. So where do I put this heater? Under the gravel surface, but over the filter plate? So confused...

Any advice?

lay it flat and put a little bit of gravel over it. next time you get a heater get one that has a thermostat

just put it in the tank, i put in there at an angle, not under the gravel, if you at my vids you can see what am talkin about , all 3 my tanks use the same heater

i believe northernlights' heater is one of those preset flat ones.

Mine is just against the back wall of the tank in the middle.
