Question Opinions on This Tank?

I have seen these tanks at Petco off and on and I have always liked the way they look. I know the so called "filter" is really just a small bubbler so I would not even use it if I had it.
I was also wondering if anyone knows if the lights on these tanks are strong enough for live plants (I have anubias and java moss).

I had the hexagon one. I didn't personally like it. It was too tall I like things that are wider better I feel like it gives the fish more room to swim around. The light isn't strong enough either it killed my anacharis and Anubias need much more light than the anacharis

I like the marineland 3 gallon at Petsmart. The light is really strong and so far my hornwort plant is doing pretty good

This was my first aquarium, years back. Didn't like the undergravel filter....it's actually the reason that I hate undergravel aquariums.

I was not planning on using the undergravel thing anyhow, I was just going to change the water more like I do now with my betta tanks. :)

My main concern is for my live plants.
Right now I have three betta tanks, two 1 gallons, and a 1.7 gallon. All three tanks have a anubias and a lump of java moss. The 1.7 gallon is a older model of the one from walmart, instead of the tiny 7 watt bulb it has a larger 15 watt. Not only does it keep the water nice and warm, but the plants in it seem to be growing fast and beautiful.
My two 1 gallon, however, their java moss are not growing and their anubias plants are coloring dark and hardly grow. The anubias also turns it's roots up toward the surface as if they want more light. :/

I want to stay with the smaller tanks but I need some that keep my plants healthy.
My original choices were the two tanks I posted on this thread, and maybe this one. Though all say 7 watts. :/

I don't know if you can swing a 5 gallon but this one has a 5000K florescent light in the hood and is good for plants. Plus its about the same price as the other tanks. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Hawkeye-5-...ndingMethod=rr

out of what you posted, I would go with the hex simply because it has more room - almost 2 gallons as opposed to 1 gallon.

I have this one - http://www.walmart.com/ip/Hawkeye-1-...-Pets/10312983
I don't use it anymore, only for QT. I took out the filter/bubbler. It's OK but the light isnt very bright and it does not last long.

I would so do the 5 gallon if you can - better light, more space for fishie and more space for decorations
