Hi!
I'm from Georgia...I have 4 bettas, 1 is new, but the other 3 i've had for a little while. I keep one in a round bubble bowl, 1 gallon, the others are in 1-2 gallon homes. I believe they are all 1 gallon. They are happy to (I know one gallons is small, but 3 of them really enjoy their homes and the other one has a bent back ( :( ) so I had to give her room to swim and still be able to get to the surface without overworking herself....it still doesn't get in the way of her food, she gets super excited and tries her hardest to get it.
And then my family has a goldfish and 2 koi fish in the backyard (the comet goldfish is inside). The 2 koi fish are shubunkin and a butterfly koi.
Lots of fish....haha
But they are loads of fun!

Welcome :) Betta are versatile with their living quarters and 1 gallons work just fine imo as long as they're heated and cleaned :) I'd love to see pics!!!
