male or female? please help

Can someone please tell me if this dragon scale is a male or female? I bought It from petsmart last night and the container just said dragon scale. The fish itself is really tiny like 1 inch big

I'm afraid it will be hard to tell from those pictures. IF you could get one of him/her flaring it would help. A female will have an eggspot (white dot on their belly), but sometimes young males can have this too.

Gorgeous colouring either way!

Is there any definite way to know. The face kind of looks like a girl to Me. I don't see an egg spot would I have to look very close for it?

All I had to do was look lol. I'm very good at telling bettas gender early on. A few weeks earlier than most.

His body is longer and not very wide, the ventrals are long and his gill plates are bigger and thicker than what would be on a female.
