At the moment I have a fairly comfy savings account, plenty of time (currently unemployed) and access to some really nice bettas.

I just simply indulge my cravings and hope to God I don't break an arm or a leg anytime soon

Once I get back into full-time work hopefully I will have a plumbed fish room to cut down on maintenance. But I swear purchasing fish is a more serious and expensive addiction than if I was using illicit drugs haha.

But has the advantages of being legal and slightly less physically harmful! :D Until you trip over whilst carrying a water change bucket and faceplant into a tank, of course.

I love coppers too :D Did you get those photos off of aquabid? The first and last photo are of my fish and I want to make sure no one is using them as a scam.

For me it's grizzles and marbles... I'll see one and go hunting for the perfect grizzle! It's gotten pretty bad.. when I see one I REALLY want.. I start thinking up ways to get it, tank it, and hide the setup from my husband, who has put his foot down.. NO MORE PETS! Hmm.... he never goes in the guest bathroom.. or the upstairs bedrooms.. I could keep one in each bedroom.. you know.. for guests!

I don't blame him... if he didn't stop me, I'd have half the animals on Craigslist under our roof. I would have turned one of our spare bedrooms into a fish room and the other into a snake room.. and probably turned the sun room into a ferret play room. >.>

Teehee, I feel your pain. I plan on moving in October to a 3-bedroom place and turning the laundry area & one bedroom into a fish room. My man just rolls his eyes when I tell him. And when I tell him I want to move to Thailand to mass-breed bettas outside, he just kind of gives me a blank stare.

Mustard Gas.. When I see one, it's so hard to resist :(

I haven't bought any Aquabid bettas yet, but one day I will.

ALL TEH MUSTARD GASES BELONG TO ME.
