Why is my fish so weird??

My male crowntail, Bruiser, has a couple plastic plants in his tank. He sticks his head into the root of the little plants so he's straight up and down with his head buried in the plant. Is he just goofy, or is there an explanation??
He will just sit there for a good amount of time, he does weird stuff :)

My Rex was doing that one night. I made my son check to see if he was dead, lol.

What size is that tank? It looks kinda small. Not trying to be rude or intrusive...just curious.

What I was thinking Rosso- that tank looks awfully small, and unheatable..

One of my boys loves to sleep with his head in his cave, but his body out. Just odd ball fish I suppose.. \

My crowntail does the same thing, except instead of plants, he likes digging his head into the gravel! They do weird things sometimes :P

It's a 1/2 gallon, guys.

I agree with Rosso and Myates, SillySnail. Your tank really is far too small to cope with a betta and a mystery snail, especially if you are only cleaning it once every two weeks as you said in another thread. It's also unheated, which is not good for a betta.

As for his behaviour, who knows. He could be looking for food. Bettas are just cute like that. :)
