My first female bettas

Before trying out with a male, I decided to test the waters with some females. Fish were always something I had in the house as a child, but this would be the first time I took care of fish myself!

This is my first tank. A 10 gallon Tetra tank. My pride and joy ♥
I am in the market for a few 2.5 and 5.5 gallons now.

I purchased these beauties about a year ago from a lps, and named them Fauna, Flora, and Merryweather;; based off of their colourings. I didn't have a decent camera at the time for photos, but wanted to share my precious girls anyways.

A few months later I went to purchase some mollies to fill up the tank a bit more, and sadly someone wasn't feeling well and quickly I lost everyone but Flora and two unnamed mollies.

NOTE: For those who weren't sure of what the decoration in my tank was, this is our chance to finally decide on its' dragon / eel / lochness monster status! :p

Overall, it was a good experience. My mother (the more experienced pet owner) gave me some great advice through all of my iffy times with the sickness and general maintenance.

Beautiful girlies, and so sorry you lost two! I've had quite a few sororities in the past, they've always been amazing.

I think I'm game to start up a full betta-only sorority with my 10 gallon. I just want to wait for a few months until I move to a bigger place, where I can devote a good space for my finny friends.

Breeding would be a blast too, but I want to make sure everything is proper before I attempt.
