No, it's a little lower down, slightly closer to his tail. It could be something else, it's only a little line right now, but if it gets any bigger I won't have much choice.

This is driving me nuts ;__; I don't want to make a mistake and kill him prematurely, but if I wait until he's in intense suffering I'll feel even worse...

If you see rapid growth, I think it's your best bet. :(
I'm sorry about this, cancers are really horrible things to deal with, fish, human or other petwise >.<

Theres not reason to euth unless he starts getting sick - some fish (even people) can live with tumors and live a long healthy life.

My only concern is that it's spreading....and that it continues to grow. I can only see it getting worse from here...isn't it better to do it now before he's suffering horribly?

I don't know T.T I'm very conflicted

I don't know....if I had a bunch of inoperable tumors that were spreading all over my body, I'd want to be euthanized =/ But seeing as Alby still has a will to live, I won't euthanize him unless he's clearly feeling sick

That's benign tumors, not a big deal.
This fish appears to have cancerous ones that could spread around his body, already are. However he should be left to live until he is clearly uncomfortable. :)

Here's some updated pictures....in this one you can see how pronounced the tumor is, and also his popeye. I'm not sure what caused the popeye, seeing as I regularly clean his tank, but it's clearly an incentive for me to try harder.

Here's a picture of his new home....I got him new plants and a new decoration. I want him to feel as happy as possible (his fins aren't clamped, by the way. I just snapped the picture mid-swim)

Sorry the images are so massive....no clue how to shrink them.

Also, what are people's opinions on "bettafix"? I picked some up just in case, but I haven't used it yet. I want to make sure it's actually worthwhile first.
