Out of curiosity...

This is my boy Oliver :) I watched his fins grow in as he grew hehe, it was great.
And I was wondering how good his fins/body shape are.
I don't have any plans for breeding or anything, just curious! :D
I don't mind hearing critiques about him either.
When I first moved him into the tank he took a few nips out of his fins and one grew back with a pinch in it, I'm pretty sure it was from the nibbling.
Anyways here he is!

To be honest, he is probably the most beautiful VT I have ever seen! He has such a long tail, and tremendous colours. I dont really see any flaws in him; a breeder quality VT for sure!

He has stunning colors but he's has many flaws to consider him breeding quality.
He's a VT double tail butterfly.
His body is too short and his dt caudal penducles are uneven.
The problem with breeding and his body being too short is that he will have problems wrapping a female plus this undesirable trait will be carried by his fry.
He's definitely beautiful as a pet... I love the 3rd picture!

Thats interesting about the body, I never knew that!
What are the caudal penducles?
No worries though as I don't intend to breed!
Yeah he definitely caught my eye at the pet store :3 I went just to buy plants and gravel to start setting up...left with him hahaha.

They do look nice! Really? My LFS has lots of DT veils. I love this LFS, they have soo many colours and types of bettas. I saw a yellow and white PK that I wanted so bad there!
