You can't ever /stop/ them from tailbiting, but usually they start because the tail is starting to drag. You can try rearranging his tank.
Goblin is a tailbiter and hes a veil. They just do it cuz they can and they are little stinkers.

actually, you CAN stop them. it's just a pain in the butt to do.

try rearranging where his decorations are in his tank every time you change his water. give him a few more plants. that's how i got my delta tail, Dante, to stop.

if that doesn't work, change where his tank is located.

often, new surroundings keeps them busy.

if those don't work, just.... don't worry about it. Ichi was happier when he looked like a Crowntail Plakat, rather than a delta tail, so i didn't work on making him stop...

My fist guy is a tail biter, I had given up hope he would ever be pretty again but I moved his tank to a different room with high traffic and lots going on all the time and he is starting to let his tail grow back for now.

He did get a newly arranged tank as well right after the move.

I doubt this is a fix, but he is interested enough in everyone walking around he hasn't been chomping his tail yet since the move.

Hope this helps a little

He is getting worse :( I added like two new silk plants, redecorated the tank and then added the log thing... he loved the log. But he is still biting I don't know what else to try?
