Pogo needs TLC

So I've been doing some minor "rescues" lately. The damaged (Wilhelm <3), the tiny (Aya), and now .... the starved. I hate seeing skinny bettas. :/

I never intended to get Pogo, but I somehow ended up with him. The store manager was genuinely shocked to see Pogo in his condition, and was kind enough to give him to me for free. He's in rough shape, but he's eating very well - three pellets disappeared within seconds. It's a hopeful sign that Pogo will bounce back. He's already got his colour, more or less. He's is a plastic container with IAL overnight, and I'm getting him something bigger in the morning.

Poor little guy! He's all head. I hope he makes a full recovery. =)

:( Poor baby! Hopefully he gets all better really soon! I just did my first rescue, and it was one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. Keep up the good work!

I like getting the ones that need TLC, despite what others on here say about it. I get a warm fuzzy feeling when they get healthy.

is it just the pics or does he also have a bent spine?

foods high in protein are gonna be super good for him. New Life Spectrum Grow, frozen bloodworms.... he's gonna be lovely when he gets better. the foods will help out his fins grow back, too.

No, I don't think his spine is bent, he's just so thin it really shows. Pogo has gained even more colour this morning and he's eating bloodworms like spaghetti. I'll update when I can :)
