Why are my bettas getting a fungus?

We have lost 4 bettas to a fungus. We do regular tank changes, temps at 78-82 degrees, test the water, always where it should be. But still are getting a fungus on our fish. Dozey a crown tail is about 6 months old and Hoppy, mail betta has been with us for about 2 months. I noticed 2 small spots on Hoppy yesterday and today, Dozey has fuzz on his bottom fins.

we have a 5.5 gallon with a separator in the middle. Do we need to tear the tank apart? Any help please.

Treat both of them in the tank for the fungus. There the only ones in there right? If so it should be just fine. Once they get clean you may wan to do a tear down and cleaning
