As some might know, I impulse bought a new betta last week lol. He was the perfect colors to fit the name "Alduin" (evil dragon in Skyrim) and he looked as though he had a lump on his side near the base of his tail, causing him to swim funny, so my heart just automatically went to him.
When I first put him in his new home, he freaked out and was swimming in all sorts of directions and standing up vertically on his tail fin. Acting really strange. Now that a few days have gone by, he seems to be more settled and swimming much more normal, but he still kinda stands vertically from time to time, looking directly up towards the surface. He also hasn't eaten since the first day I got him, which is making me a bit worried.
He also has some torn looking fins and a few tiny holes in some (he came like that). I can't tell if this is from tail biting or the start of fin rot? Maybe you guys can help with that.
But alas, here are his pictures and a picture of his 2.5 gallon home (biggest I can get for him for now because my desk won't hold a 5.5 gallon like Paarth's and I have no other place in my room now lol). According to PetCo, he's a double tail half moon. I am totally unsure of his coloring, but I LOVE the light blue flecks on his scales!
I LOVE the white gravel. I am switching Paarth's tank to while because it will match his other colors so much more.
