Hard water stains

Does anyone know the quickest & safest way to clean tough hard water stains?

Tried:
-Vinegar & Lemon
-Hot water
-Baking Soda
-Lime cleaner
-Ammonium Chloride Det.

coke .. the soda .. not the drug ^_^ .. yes that's right coke .. and it has to be coke classic .. not diet .. not cherry .. not coke zero ..

and you have to let it soak like over night .. so hopefully you have a rimmed tank .. as if you have a rimless this would be very hard to soak a side in coke .. it would probably take u 4 days to do all 4 sides of your aquarium .. but this really works .. and it's safe ..

or if you do not feel like waiting 4 days .. use a razor .. and slowly scrap off the calcium (which is mostly what makes the hard water stains) ..

good luck!!

I recently pulled 3 tanks and their decorations out of storage. All had a lot of lime stains. I used malt vinegar diluted 3 parts vinegar to 1 part water on a soft cloth and it took the stains away immediately. I think you could use white vinegar also. Once the stains were wiped away I rinsed everything thoroughly before setting up the tanks.

I tried straight vinegar too, but for some reason it worked better with a bit of water.

Tried the Coke, Vinegar, Bksoda etc. but still none exceed to work but I found a powdered cleanser that works very well that my LPS recommended that removes any hard stains and it's by BarKeepersFriend really good product and barely have to scrub works great on glass & acrylic
