I'd go with opaque or translucent ones.

I don't like to disagree with Lupin, but I think that if you have male bettas then they would become too stressed if they can see each other all the time, and for that reason I would go with a non-transparent divider. Just make sure that whatever is colouring it is non-toxic and safe to go in aquariums. Or if you have the tank heavily planted then arange the plants so that the fish don't see each other much through the plants on either side of the divider.

im planning or try to breed a betta. so i guess i have to go with the non-transparent divider, or is it ok if i use plants as a divider? and what will i put to hold on the divider, is it glue gun or something? sorry for many questions. i just want to give my bettas a home.

Don't use plants as a divider on their own. What I meant was that if you decided you didn't want a transparent divider, but couldn't get a non-transparent one, putting a lot of plants either side would stop them being able to see each other so much.

Use non-toxic silicone rather than glue. The glue could be poisonous.
