awesome! Yeah I need a DIY tank lid for my oscar's 80 gallon. :/ But for now stark white corplast for the tank xD

I can send you pics or something of what I do for my girls if you'd like -- I had an idea for a DIY canopy for my cube (now thinking a partial canopy at most though). I was working out a way to do the hinged canopy for that, and may still do so until my sword is tall enough to go with a partial or no canopy.

You could do something similar with your Oscar tank -- heck, if you wanted I imagine you could even do three separate sections (or however many you want) for the part you open so you don't have to open that entire length any time you feed, but still have the option for, say, gravel vacuuming.

Haha, yea, that's one of the reasons they need such large tanks, but they're such awesome fish...

I get my Oscar cichlid fix at work. I like playing with them. And giving them crickets.

I might be able to get those canopies made this weekend (hopefully) and get some pics of them.
