A big quick one or lots of little ones?

Temperature Changes? I'm finding lots of information on what temperature to set the tank at but what is the best way of getting there. Is it best to go from room temperature (68*) straight to 76* in one swoop or should I do it gradually one or two degrees each day?

I do it gradually. 1degreeC a day. It seemed safer than shocking them. In smaller aquariums this would be better as the temp would change quicker than in say a 15g.
