Found the perfect set up!

For those of you who are interested in keeping natural planted tanks, but want to keep desktop.. Not sure if this has ever been posted (sorry if repost)

It's 7.9 gallons and glass (important for me as I have found my cats like to stare and sometimes bat at the tank, end up scratches)

I'm so excited, I wish I could buy it right now... but I can't.. I have to wait until I get a new job... /shake fist

If so, please chime in and let me know how you like it. One negative review I heard was the filter was a bit bigger than they wanted - so they just subbed out with the duetto internal filter. Which is rather inexpensive.. I'm curious what the flow would be like... I assume it would need a sponge baffle.

Wow i would love to have one of those, could do a moss, shrimp, guppie type of tank in there :)

Not sure if this matters much, but they have the same tank but in a shrimp kit.

I ended up ordering it last night, boyfriend got it for me for our anniversary.

Going to use the fluval plant stratum to cap some miracle gro organics... then work on cycling the tank, move over the plants.. once the cycling is complete, move over the fishes..

I actually considered it when I looking for glass tanks a few months back because I liked the frameless look.
I read the reviews about the filter but I wanted to use a sponge filter anyway so I decided to look for actual tanks instead of kits. I also wanted something that I could get two off and place side by side on my entry table.
Pretty much just bought the glass tank with a bow front. Added sponge filters, an acrylic lid and bought a LED lamp... and natural plants, of course! The heaters are burried, just in case you were wondering is they are heated ... and there's usually a divider between the tanks so the fish can't see each other.

They are 5.2 galons. Pretty much the same as splitting a 10 galon without the issues or the mesh division in between.
