NLS Food

Is there any difference in the NLS growth and the NLS small fish formula?

Which one do the bettas prefer?

Is this food better than the Hikari Gold?

There is one formulated for bettas, look for that one. Hikari is a good brand, though they changed their recipe and now it isn't great. Omega one is another good one.

NLS is a very good brand.
The growth formula is meant for juvies and like kfryman mentioned, there's one specifically for bettas.
Now these are semi-floating pellets. They will sink very soon after placed in the tank. If your fish is used to feeding from the surface it might be frustrating for you that some food will fall into the gravel.

i talked to a hikari rep last weekend about the formula change .. and apparently they changed it back .. so look on the ingredients list .. if it says fish meal as the first ingredient it's the good one ..

i used both hikari and nls .. and i find them both work well together .. as well as seachem betta banquet .. which is an awesome formula

I will have to look into getting some more pellets, I want a variety so my bettas don't get tired of them.

So look at the ingredients, if wheat is first don't buy it, as that means wheat is the most used ingredient, the list goes heaviest to lightest.

My babies LOVE nls to the point that sometimes they turn there nose up to blood worms its also good for bringing color back into sick fish they do as mentioned sink slowly which my bettas love because they can chase them just feed one or two at a time and your fine

Hikari changed their formula back? That's good news.
