Mysterious Baby Mystery Snail
I was cleaning my five gallon that houses my plakat, Dipper, and a mystery snail named Jerry when I made a new discovery. An itsy bitsy baby mystery snail. He is tiny, almost completely transparent with little speckles of color on his shell. My initial thought was my first pest snail, but it's definitely a mystery snail upon closer inspection.
The thing is, I never noticed any eggs. I searched the whole tank and only found the lone baby. Jerry has been living in the tank for about two months now. I have not introduced any new plants since before Jerry's arrival. Jerry must have had eggs somewhere and Dipper munched them before I noticed, leaving too little to notice.
Do I need to do anything regarding care about this new arrival or do I just leave it be and continue as usual? Dipper is a very peaceful fish and doesn't bother momma snail at all and I haven't seen him take notice of the baby yet.
Tried to get a picture, but he was too far back and tiny to really see on camera, only got one semi-decent one where he doesn't look like a speck. Best I could do, hopefully it translates well on here.
