Unhappy My heart breaks at petsmart.

guys the need to help bettas and the addiction is real. I was at PetSmart today to pick up Darryl some stress coat and I can't help but go and look at all the other bettas. surprisingly a lot of them looked ok and I saw a gorgeous vt that was light blue white and pink. he had the fluffiest looking fins and I just want to take him home. I looked in the back and I saw one that was on his side struggling to swim I just wanted to take them home and make them better. I also saw a girl crowntail that literally almost jumped out of her cup to see me and she was so cute I wanted to cry I just don't have the money to get another betta. But even in that little cup she had smuch personality.

2 of my now 6 bettas were pity/rescue buys.. Arstocoles (dumbo ear) I watched for 2 weeks, he got pale, stress striped and a bit lethargic but perked up once he got settled in and over that big noisy bubbly thing in the corner (sponge filter-was horrified of it the first day.. after that he slept by it haha).
My still not official named veiltail (calling "Saffron" for not but may change) I spotted 3 weeks ago, he was lovely and had nice personality. Last monday I saw him again.. with sbd (stuck at surface) he struggled hard to swim down to the bottom of his cup where my fingers were.. so touching I ended up grabbing him 92 days later after mulling it over). His sbd went away in less than 12 hours from just warm water with Prime to bind ammonia!

Aristocoles
first time I saw him

2 weeks later-right in cup at store left side in qt tank 2 hours after

Recent photo (hits fins grew!)

"Saffron"

First time I saw him

getting acclimated to qt tank

He's much better now but there's no light on his tank so no new photos yet.

[Started updating my Journal again, view here]
Due to photobuckets bs cost for use of images on forums I have deleted all photobucket accounts. I apologize if you enjoyed or found my old photos helpful.

Saffron is a great name! I'm glad he's doing better. Our PetCo.s do really well with their Bettas I think. Clean water a lot of the time, and healthy fish.
