Fin Regrowth

Hello!

Iím at a complete loss here.
My female betta lost some finnage during mating and has not been able to grow her tail/caudal fin back. (Its been about 5 months)
She also had some bites taken from her anal fin, but that has healed absolutly no problem.

Iíve tried her in all of my betta tanks (all of which have perfect parameters and have been clean enough for fin regrowth on my male fin biter) but no luck.

Ive tried stress guard, meal fix, daily water changes, almond leaves, very healthy diets, lots of hiding places, anything I can find. Absolutly no change.

The only thing I have yet to try that Iíve seen recommended is salt baths, but Iím a little hesitant to try that. If I do, can I use reef salt? What measurements and how long of a bath? How often?

Does anyone have any other recommendations?

Thanks!

Everything I have read recommends against reef salt. It is not the same as aquarium salt.

Some Betta never regrow their fins. As long as she is otherwise healthy, eating and active I would let it go.

If she's active and eating normally, there wouldn't be a need to add salts. You might consider Vita-Chem fresh formula. I recommend it.

One of my Crowntails Ouro came to me with practically no Dorsal Fin
It is now 4 months later? His Caudal has doubled in size but his Dorsal has not grown at all, still the singular "spine" and a small amount of webbing.
He is happy, active and eats like a pig. It doesn't seem to bother him at all
He gets an IAL just in case (and also he prefers these to the hammocks)
