I would always recommend a good breeder that has the interest of the species at heart. Don't get taken in by first time breeders that don't know the family genes and can not breed pure. If you do go to a breeder find out more about them. What are they breeding for? (tail, body, What do they have in mind when they breed.) Not some one who has bread a nice looking fish with another and hope for the best. This is where the species break down and the genes are messed up in the breed.
Do not breed pet stock if you don't know the background of what you are breeding.
