Russell thank you > Tapatalk issues grrrrr

@RussellTheShihTzu for some odd reason Tapatalk is having issues with this forum only :/

It's not letting me access your post....

So I cant read the link right now, but I remember you said wattage depends on a lot of things....

So for a 10 gallon at room temperature (72) only needing to normally heat to 78 wouldn't a 50 watt be fine?

Ok I don't have a thermometer in the apartment (condo building) but I'm guessing ambient temperature is about 72 bcs otherwise I'd be chilly. On a hot summer day we'll crank up the one A/C wall unit and it gets chilly (for me - DH loves it) but otherwise give or take it's room temperature.

I'm aware that unheated tank water is cooler than ambient air temps (the reason we wear wetsuits in warm water).

Is there any reason a 50 watt wouldn't suffice in this scenario?

For some reason I was able to read your post but not reply or read link, so until I figure out what's going on if I don't respond you'll know why.

TIA!

Here's the chart. For me, it's better to have more than normally needed should the temps plummet and we lose power.

You're most welcome.

I know I can't use the heaters during outages but when the electricity comes back on the room can be powerfully cold and take a bit to heat back up.

The only outages I've experienced in almost four decades are during the summer. Yikes
