Hope all went well with your bloodwork.

And @ your previous post, that trail looks very fun! I take Bodhi to a riverwalk that looks very similar, and he gets very offended if a passerby doesn't stop to see him. He will sit in the path and stare after them just waiting for acknowledgment.

I really recommend potty bells you hang on your door. I had Bodhi completely housebroken before he was 10 weeks old. Everytime we would go out, I'd ring the bells and say outside. He quickly learned and started ringing them himself. Even if I wasn't in the room, I would hear him.

Always take him to the same area to potty, and if he has an accident do not yell or startle him. If you catch him in the act, pick him up say "outside" sternly and immediately carry him out. Praise him to high heavens for pottying outside. Don't clean accidents in front of him or scold him after he has already done it. Give him plenty of time to potty while he's out, and carry treats to reward him.
Interesting on the bell.
He is 11 weeks right now.

That sounds really cute. We are working on socializing. He gets nervous easy. But I know with practice and time he will get better. I have my niece to help me with "kid" socializing. She is 11 and will listen.

The vet told me I can bring him by any time to a social call so that's nice too. :)

They maintain this cleanliness with a natural oil that blocks dirt from reaching the skin. Baths, especially with soap, will strip away this oil and dry out the coat. When Takodah blows his first coat, you can bathe him to alleviate the shedding and give him a blow out (or have a groomer do it). Salmon oil or coconut oil are good things to look into for fur and joint health.

I'm sure you already know, but never trim or shave him. The thick coat actually keeps them cooler in warm months by trapping cool air close to the skin. An undercoat rake or long hair furminator will work wonders when he's shedding. Which will be always. Welcome to Husky Life 😁 I have to move all my furniture weekly and sweep out the tumbleweeds.
Yes I know the war on hair will be a long hard battle. Lol
He loves water and I have a kiddy pool that he loves to get in!

Well today I worked on building back some of my yard. We list a good section on bank in a flood earlier this year.
So we drove in some post and made a barricade from some locust logs and then I backfilled with rock, gravel, and dirt. Need to get some seed on it so I can hopefully have some growth before winter.

I spent the day babysitting my clingy cat while job searching for hours on end.
If someone ever has a lead on illustration jobs send them my way lol.

I also ordered some stickers of a recent watercolor piece I did since Stickermule was having a great sale.
Hope everyone is having a good day!

Worked all day. Kindergarten aged camp. Highlight of the day was when one of my kids (he's 4) came to me and said he told an older boy to pick up the garbage he had just thrown on the ground but the boy had refused/ignored him. I hightailed it right over there and made the boy pick up every piece of garbage we could find on the playground. I was really proud of my kid for standing up for what was right. It all begins in kindergarten as I always say.

Everyone's dogs in this post are gorgeous. I am a 'cat person' but I also have two dogs, two Chihuahuas (aged 9). I certainly agree with watching some Victoria Stillwell, she was great when training my dogs. My dogs don't go potty outside though (we live in Canada which isn't really habitable for them to go outside 8 months of the year due to snow and the such) but we pad trained them no problem using positive reinforcement. Definitely play with Takoda's mouth/paws, we really regret not doing that with our dogs as now my dogs have had to have so many extractions due to their teeth rotting (my boy dog, Gilbert, would take your hand off if you tried to stick it in his mouth to brush his teeth) and now actually has to have surgery tomorrow to remove MORE rotting teeth that have actually, this time, caused a swollen abscess to form on his face :(

Marine biology/vet school, all these cool courses you guys are taking I feel almost lame going to law school in the end of September-to be fair though, philosophy, my undergrad, was lot's of fun.

I love cats!!! I'm just horribly horribly allergic :(
I wonder what causes the bad teeth? My old girl (lives with Mom and Dad) is 17 and still has good teeth. She is blind and almost death though. Still very loving though.

I have to take a philosophy class myself this fall.
"Science and the modern world" PHIL 2640 for me.

Classes start in just a few days and I'm getting nervous.

Iím not sure. Tartar build up, lack of chewing (my dogs dont really like bones and stuff) and overall age and tear is what Iím guessing. My other dog lets my mom brush her teeth with her finger (with dog toothpaste) which helps a lot.

Philosophy is always a good time in my opinion, though many would say otherwise. Iím nervous to be starting law school in the fall.

Great meme !
