Nothing new and exciting here.

Just another work week waiting for the weekend to stay at home and binge watch Netflix with the furbabies.

So my science project is How will a store bought betta react in its natural envoirment. I am researching thai land or south east asia, and am going to set up a tank exactly like a bettas natural habitat. Complete with indian almond leaves and drift wood. Then I'm going to put a store bought betta in and see how it reacts

That sounds like an awesome science fair project!! You'll have to share more details about it and the results, I'd be curious to see how it goes!

I'm doing alright today. I've got classes to go to in a bit and have to give a speech in my later afternoon class so I'm trying to prepare for that. But my schedule is pretty awesome and I have no Friday classes and pretty much will be starting my weekend!

So let's see, non fishy life ....

I had this great idea of flushing the radiator in my car and changing out the thermostat, it's not broken, just some preventative maintenance. Well, I talked to a friend who knows way more about cars than I do and he said, why don't we replace the water pump while we're at it, it's right up front. Should only take a couple hours.

Well, I won't get into details, but a fair number of hours of swearing, quite a few cuts and getting the last pulley (that broke unexpectedly) at the dealership it's all been changed and it only took 2 half days. It's such a stupid design due to the placement of ONE bolt.

Looking back, it was some good times despite the number of times during the work I said .. "this was a horrible idea".

Went on a fun little road trip with B and the fam. Ate some amazing BBQ on the mountain overlook and chatted with all the bikers, went on a hike, and found an overgrown and closed down dino theme park. Life sized dinosaurs frozen in the weeds. Would have been fun to explore if we had braved sneaking in. Maybe next time. Maybe I should film it and edit in spooky noises and velociraptor shaped shadow figures, go viral on YouTube. 😂

Overall had a great time laughing our butts off at our goofy pup and somehow ended up stuck in a parade.

...Then got a heartbreaking and scary phone call. Those things always seem to happen when you're enjoying life too much. Staying optimistic, but not going to lie, I don't expect to get a cool prize in my next box of cracker jacks. In all fairness though nobody gets cool prizes in those anymore; dang paper pencil toppers and obsolete baseball team stickers.

Hoping everyone had an amazing week!

Nothing too fancy going on here. It's finally turning into true fall weather and ugh I am not ready for another winter.

This Saturday I am thinking about making a trip to my favorite fish store and picking up some live plants. The 55 gallon is slowly coming along. (YAY)

In the meantime, I am thrilled that all of my favorite TV shows have new episodes coming out. I am going to be glued to my living room TV for the next few days catching up on all of my shows. (DOUBLE YAY :P)

I like reading about everyoneís non-fishy lives! I havenít been on here in about a year as I got accepted into the medical sonography program so I've been crazy busy. My Saturday is about halfway over, but Iím enjoying a three day weekend so thatís nice. Itís still super hot down here in south Texas so my furbabies and I are patiently waiting for the cold weather 🤞🏼
