Packing Images XX X

Here at Relive we take pride in packaging all our bettas (and other fish) well so each one has a safe and least-stressful trip to their new home. Each box is marked clearly with fragile and arrows pointing up. Insulation foam is packed deep within the box on all sides to insure a warm environment and a heat pack is added to each of the boxes to keep it up to temperature. Newspaper is added to the bottom for extra absorbency and finally the fish are double bagged and given Oxygen and H2O in proper amounts. So far all of the bettas shipped out have made it to their destinations alive and well. We plan to keep it that way!

Rowe came to us with swim bladder and torn/damaged fins. His swim bladder is completely gone and his fines have healed nicely. He does still have a little tear (his fins are so large, so it takes a good time for them to heal) but are showing good progress, so we believe he's ready for a good home.

If you are interested in him, please note me and I'll give you more information if need be. Also we ship via USPS. All fish come with a tracking number so you can also keep track of when he arrives. I hope this answers your questions!

Does swim bladder keep reoccuring in betta?
What are the warning signs they are prone to it?
Would they need any kind of special considerations on their normal diets?

1. Yes, it can reoccur but luckily it is very common and very unlikely if your fish is fed twice a day 1-3 pellets (depending on size). Rowe gets 3 pellets twice a day. He has not had swim bladder since.

2. Warning signs of swim bladder is as follows, fish has trouble swimming down or in general and a swollen abdomen.

3. No special diet is required. If your fish happens to get swim bladder again the best cure is to fast him for a couple of days. This will not hurt him and let his food pass. Basically swim bladder is constipation. If it persists you can feed a frozen pea (thawed and no skin) to him. I give 1/4 of a pea during one feeding. This can help pass the blockage as well.

Here is an article that can give more information: link
