Looking to add a nano aquascape and betta to my office desk
Would you know of any Betta breeders in San Antonio, or within the state of Texas?
I'm not a fan of "shipping" live animals, if it can be avoided. I'd prefer to transport them over the shortest distance possible.
I'm looking at adding a nano aquascape to my desk at work (2.5 gal) and was wondering if this would be adequate space for a betta? Also, what live plants would you recommend for one? Yes, I will have CO2 in the tank (via a small commercially made yeast reactor) and will have the tank heated to 78 degrees fahrenheit.
Also, I'm not very well versed on betta types, although I did have one several years back, in a 5 gal tank. His name was Cheddar, and I had him for 4 years. He was a cellophane color, and I think was a "veil tail"?? Not too sure. He was a funny and social little fish, always excited to see me. He loved his tank mates (Aussie & Scampy the shrimp, and Gary the snail).
He would waggle his tail fins like he was a dog, and jump up out of the water like a little dolphin and make little splashes when ever new people would come look at him. He LOVED classical music, and always swam in slow, sweeping and looping patterns whenever I played it in the room his tank was in. I miss that fish :(
Anyways, I want to add a little movement, color, and life to the aquascape and was hoping someone here might have any suggestions or helpful info??
