Looking to buy a 6 gallon long bookshelf aquarium

So I did a little research and found out there was a manufacturers recall on the Petco 6.6 gallon tank kits. I really want one! We recently found out we will have to be moving soon and I'm looking to downsize my 10 gallon (for possible tank weight-limits and whatnot).

Anybody have one or something similar they're willing to sell? If you happen to live near Northlake mall I can come and pick it up from you there, if not then please let me know your preferred price you'd want for it + the shipping price. I don't mind if it is used or even if it comes with all the parts, I mostly just want the actual tank (the hood and light would be a plus though).

Thanks so much guys

I've seen them at my petcos but for the price of shipping to you.. you could get a nicer mr.aqua 6g rimmless book shelf tank for the same $ or less, have you looked at them?
edit: nvm looking it up the mr.aqua 6g bookshelf tank seems to be discontinued..

Due to photobuckets bs cost for use of images on forums I have deleted all photobucket accounts. I apologize if you enjoyed or found my old photos helpful.

Seems fate doesn't want me to have a 6g long How much are they in store? I may swing by the Petco closest to me to see if they're there.

I honestly don't know for sure.. It was a few weeks ago and i think $59.99-69.99 range. Doing an estimated weight and size (from amazon info) with usps shipping calculator I can ship one for about $16, but I'd have to go measure it at the store to confirm size
According to amazon its a plastic tank though (i personally hate plastic)

I'll note the stores that had it were larger petcos, smaller ones tend to lack tank selection.

Eh, I'll think on it. I'm going to check around at my local stores before I make a decision. Thanks so much Aqua! Always so helpful :)

Does it have to be 6g? ADA's Do! Aqua series is pretty cool. The 45-F one is 4.4g at $52

For some reason the link isn't working

I contacted the owner of my LFS and he said he might have a 5 gallon long (I'd take it with a grain of salt though, he never really seems to know what he has )

Keep me posted about that!

Weird, I just clicked the link to make sure it works =\ never mind that link though. See, I just realized that I have never checked shipping costs. Well, what do you know: the cheapest shipping option for the 45-F is $40 via UPS ground (one week delivery). That's over half the cost of the tank itself! :( nooot worth it.

I might as well get a cheap wood shelf at Bed Bath & Beyond and get a 10 rather than trying to find a bookshelf tank to fit my super narrow third shelf.

Oh mah gawd xD yeah, not worth.

I'm just hoping it's a 5 long because honestly I don't know if he knows the difference xD I want a shallow long tank.

I'm thankful I had a wrought iron stand out in the shed to put my 10 gallon on so I didn't have to pay for another shelving unit...

Maybe the Fluval Spec V might work for the dimensions you're looking for?
