Hello from Illinois
Hello all! My name is Isaiah, and I'm a 21 year old college hiatus...person? Close enough. I had to drop out of college because it got too expensive, but i want to go back when I'm able. I'm still schoolsick. I really miss Auburn (AL, graphic design student).
But I'm up in Illinois with a friend, attempting to start up my silicone business to get it going. I got bit by the betta bug a couple years ago when my sister gave me Gilgamesh, a beautiful little female. She died because I was an idiot and kept her in a cube.
Now I'm the proud owner of a 10 gal tank on its first day of fishless cycling. It was going to be planted, but funds are tight, so I'll be getting silk plants next week instead. I'm really excited. I'm just constantly butting heads with my friend, who thinks one fish will be boring. She does now I won't get any non-nano fish for the tank, but I do really want a snail and a moss ball.
One thing I do like about my shop is since I use fully safe materials, I can put things in the tank that I made. They're all very soft, a little fish, skull, and my personal model. I looked over everything I put in before I did. No pigment pockets, no tiny pores for algae growth. It's all very soft for a fragile betta's fins.
Anyway, this is me. Thanks for reading. I'm keeping a digital journal here with my progress and it has a picture of my currently plantless tank.
