Hello from the Big Sky

Hello from Big Sky Country. I am just getting back into the hobby after being away from it for over 20 years. I have a Fluval Spec V setup with modified pump return to minimize flow rate and am cycling it fish-less. I will be planting it over the weekend with Crypts and Anubis after I pick up tissue culture plants from my local specialty store. I will be getting a Blue Mustard Paradise Betta for the tank.

Welcome to the forum! Have you decided any names for the betta before he arrives? I have a Spec V too.

Well the plants I wanted didn't come in so have to wait until they come in this Friday. I did get Franz and he seems to be enjoying all the open space in the tank. Going to try introducing some Neon Tetra tank mates today, hopefully an Otocinclus Catfish as well, and see how he takes to them. Waiting for the black background to be delivered today.
