Hey guys! i saw these in the shop and brought them home...they looked like the wild type scalare Angels..so i thought i would try and breed them since i dont really see angel fish like these around much..

Very cool! What setup have you got for them?

2.5G - 1 female betta: "Miss Cleo"
5.5G - 1 betta: Half-moon King "Cobalt"
10G (with 4G of water) 1 female betta "Grace"
29G - 1 gold marble angelfish "Bartholomew"
1 Male fancy guppy "Guplet"

the pair is in a 3ft by 15inches by 15 inches tank..the female layed on the driftwood today but the male ate it all back up ..i will have to try another male.

Give him time. He will learn. Sometimes it takes a few times for them to get it right. Congrats on the pair.

i'm with jeaninel. stick with a mated pair, you'll get fry eventually. angels create mated pairs, and if you just stick two in a tank together, you could have a blood bath.
