Found a worm in the tank, fish ate it ?

The title pretty much says it all. I found a worm slithering around in my tank (as you can see in the video, it was a brown worm). I'll not really sure where it came from.
(Just a few days ago, I had bought some plants from an aquarium store. I did not give the plants the potassium permanganate treatment because I trusted the shop. Maybe that was a mistake. )
Having no idea what to do when I saw it, I tried to remove it from the tank using a net to scoop it out.
However, before I could scoop it once it was above the sand, one of my fish caught it and ate it.
(The fish seems to be okay now)
What do you think that worm was and do you think it'd be harmful (it that there are more of them?)
Thanks in advance 🙂

Its not harmful to the fish if the fish ate it. Most likely a detritus worm, they are the composters of the aquatic world. Nothing bad, just keep the tank clean and you'll never have enough of them to worry about.
