Great pictures! Kimchi eyes looking at camera. Priceless! Baby crested has some really nice pinstripes. Really beautiful. Sophie is so pretty. She has thoughtful eyes. Little dart frogs are cuties too. Hope Rajah bounces back quick with meds.

Interesting you mentioned the bug bites. I saw those in a store for first time today. I heard them mentioned by another owner and wondered how fish would like them. Might have to try some. Glad to hear pothos is easy to grow. I got a bag of leaf litter and starting to gather supplies for bioactive tank. Lol all my overtime hours has gone into pet supplies.

Yes that picture of Kimchi was taken earlier in the week when he wasn't grumpy one morning. The other was taken this morning. I guess he woke up on the wrong side of the branch? I always think Sophie looks goofy But she is definitely a cutie!
Thanks! I'm sure Rajah will. He seems perfectly normal besides the body slime/cottony stuff on him. The pictures of him are from yesterday and you can't even tell he has it.

I saw them the first time too the other day, and I've heard Aquarium Co-op, and Rachel O'leary mention them so I thought I would give them a try. They swarmed to them once I put them in. So definitely something you might want to try. The small formula is very fine, almost like a powder. Summer doesn't go after it so if you want something bigger to feed the betta too, maybe try the bigger formula. Pothos will take over! I started Kimchi's off as a little plant, and now I'm always having to try it back from coming out his door every month. If you get just that in an vivarium it will take over, although I guess that isn't a bad thing. I think that overtime pay is well spent

Sounds like my kind of plant! A lady at aquarium store told me of a place local that sells some organic grown plants. If I can get to that part of town may try to pick some up.

Oh that same store that had bugbites also carried excavator clay. I think $16 for a block with shovel. How is that on pricing? How much would I need for a 20L?

Organic is the way to go!

Is it this kit?
Zoo Med? ExcavatorŽ Burrowing Reptile Substrate | reptile Substrate & Bedding | PetSmart
or this one?
Zoo Med? Cavern Kit with Excavator | reptile Substrate & Bedding | PetSmart
Either one you go with should be enough for a 20L unless you want to really build up something crazy. I used the 2nd one for Scarlett's tank, and I didn't use it all.

That is the one that I used. Although you could probably just use the regular bag if you don't want to do fancy tunnels and all. I would probably add more water than what was recommended. It doesn't form up well with just the amount of water they tell you to use.

I waited a couple of days to make sure it was dry. A word of caution though, you can't use it over a heat mat. They even tell you not to, because it traps heat really well. I have plan reptile sand over Scarlett's heat mat.

Good to know. Hadn't thought of that but you are right it would be good heat conductor.

Yeah, I think they specifically tell you not to use a heat mat under it too.
