So I had some tails yesterday, today there is nothing. I shined a light in the nest and there are still eggs that haven't hatched. Possibly infertile? Or taking longer to hatch then others? Heater malfunctioned, water is only at 76, I need to switch it out for a new heater but don't want to disturb things too much incase the eggs are still good and taking longer to hatch because of the lower temperatures. Thoughts?

One hand reaches out and pulls a lost soul from harm. While a thousand more go unspoken for, they say what good have you done? By saving just this one... It's like whispering a prayer in the fury of a storm. And I hear them saying... You'll never change things...

I am definitely following this spawn. Would love to see how they turn out.

I'm not an expert, but I think getting a new heater will help things come along.

Sucks about the heater... Maybe adding a new heater and slowly increasing the degrees until it's at the ideal temp? Hope the fry are okay!

Actually, a lower temp like that isn't bad for the fry. Most of the time, my Betta's breed at 76-78 just fine and the fry get along fine too, never seen any evidence that points to the temp since that's a nice, natural temp for them. You don't want it too high unless you're power-growing them, which I find doesn't produce as healthy or strong fish.
