Well we ended up moving and I didn't want to put a new fish through all of that lol. So I decided to wait for awhile. (Sorry for responding late; been busy!)

Lol it's because I didn't get a Betta until August 2015. I thought I was getting a Betta in 2014 (when I joined), but that fell through, and I didn't get one for awhile. So I was inactive here until I got Nimbus in August. I lurked on a few threads even when I didn't have a betta, but I didn't comment much :)

Hi Kyle, I actually don't even know who the admin of this site is.

Maybe try posting your question in the Members Discuss with Moderators part of the forum and they should be able to help you more than I can. I'm only a reference team member and not a moderator.

You might get regular yellow, not dragon. You need at least one of them to be dragon which will give you partial dragon that you can breed further.

Yellow and white are 2 different cambodian lines. The former is red based while the later steel blue. So in F1 you will mostly have multi colored combinations of red irid and cambodian. You won't totally lose opaque and yellow, but you most likely won't get clean solid colors. If lucky you might get literally one or two yellow and or white.

I need to see pictures of the female. If you don't have any of them yet, get a red dragon with white/irid lines on fins, yellow, orange or white dragon (as clean as possible) - whether male or female. These should give you at least a few of the color you want to then work further with. You can also use a clean red dragon and pair it to a yellow dragon. This should be easier to work with since you don't have to clean out any irids. . . . but can be a bit rare.

If you can't get a pair of dragons, you can work with one dragon and cross it to a non dragon but you will have to breed further to get clean full dragons. . . . IME it doesn't really matter which is male or female. What is important is their genetic background.

You should treat what ever disease the pair might have - they must be in top condition. Otherwise you might lose them, either during or after the spawn.
