Picture EAGLE AT SUNSET
We try to get to this wildlife refuge a few times a year, this was the first time getting an Eagle during the sunset.

No photo editing on any of the pictures other than a slight cropping. Amazing color.

Picture Supplies
I use these small medicine cups to hold small amounts of my beta's variety of foods.

On each plastic lid I magic marker the name of the food. Just makes it easier than opening each bag or jar of food each time. Also neat to stack inbetween feedings.

Picture Covering holes for jumpers
This is for my 2.5 gallon mini bow tanks.
I have the 2.5 mini bows for my 3 and what I did was just use a double faced tape above the "feeding" hole and attach a thin piece of plastic slip sheets, that I used for putting under some pottery so it wouldnt move. It has open air squares in it. So I let the piece just drape over that hole. I also do the same in the back of the hood: smaller widths toward the center as the outer edges I think are abit smaller and do not need attention.

I did this because one of my guys, Libby, is a notorious jumper; jumps over decorations, jumps up when he see's my fingers and with food. He is a crazy one.

Picture Mini Bow 2.5- Slow Down Water Current
For those who want to know how to slow down the current of the water coming out of the filter; this is a method that continues to work very well for me.

I paid close attention to being sure the edges or cuts into the plastic were as smooth as could be.

The addition of the Fluval Edge filter on the bottom intake is only for protection so their fins wont get torn or tattered by the suction. I will remove that filter twice a month and just run under lukewarm water to rinse it out.

Remember: tank filter MUST be OFF to do any water change that will go below the motor area.

Picture My other babies
In 2006 I rescued 4 feral (siblings) kittens, they were about 5-6 weeks old; 3 males, 1 female. The condo where I was living had a very large feral colony and the association was in the process of trapping as many as they could. Generational ferals are difficult to not only place for adoption but to socialize as well.

Even at the age the kittens were, they already had aggression issues; it took almost a good month for them to not spit and jump at me when I put their food in or changed their litter box.

They had been the light of my life and my solace many a day. Two of my boys passed away in 2012 just 6 weeks apart, the 3rd boy spent 3 weeks in the hospital and is still doing well. The problem stemmed from a drug prescribed by the Vet who told me not to worry about any long term use; its safe she said. Im still holding a grudge 4 years later.
