MaisyDawgThirteen A nerite should work in there. You should bump up your water changes to 1 50% and 1 100% a week.

registereduser Sounds fine to me except you might want to siphon out snail poop once a week and buy some algae wafers for when he runs out of stuff to eat.

Nerite Snail?

So to take care of an algae issue which continues to comeback no matter how well I clean the tank, I am looking to get a nerite snail. As this would likely be the best option to my knowledge, but I can't say my knowledge is that vast in snails. So I'll list the current parameters of my tank and if you guys could give any advice into the care of a nerite snail to whether you think it is a good idea or not that would be great :)

Parameters:
3 gallon half moon tank
filtered
1 betta
1 live plant
50% water change once a week
Full clean of tank once a month
