Hi everyone! So this is my first post :grin2: and why not start with a new fish as well? I just got my Opel last week and she is settling well. I want to post a picture of her on here because she's beautiful but it seems she's not the greatest poser in the aquarium. It might also be that doesn't...
This seems like a good way to keep track of Susa's growth. He's so little and pretty. I can't wait to see him get bigger.
This is him by one of his small rocks:
He's only half the length of my pinky and I have very small hands.
When I bought him, I thought I was buying a pale green fish...
I am very shy, so you may hardly hear from me unless it's worrisome questions or I have good pictures to share.
I like to loiter forums quietly and just learn.
I'm a person with high anxiety and a long-time obsession with Betta fish.
Owning a Betta as a child was disastrous as...
I thought it would be a fun idea to make a post where everyone can post their fav pics of their cute little friend(s)!
Here's mine: His name is Oliver and he is my little baby haha!
(pretend they aren't sideways)
So I just picked this guy up a couple days ago, I just fell in love with his coloration. Couldn't get it on camera very well, but in some lighting/certain angles his fins appear purple and pink and in other lighting/angles his fins appear red and green.
Haven't gotten a name for him yet, though...
I just recently bought these two little females from a local pet shop. I know they are not show bettas, but I would like to know what kind they are, and what the iridescent scales on the one female are called. Thank you for your help!
Wow so I got Sami about 6 months ago and he looked like this
and now he looks like this!
He is a half moon double tail.
I sometimes worry about his colors being darker but he acts fine and eats well. Maybe its just age and climate? Idk lol
What about yours????
Hi guys! I am looking for inspiration! I am going to be setting up a planted tank soon and would like to see what kinds of plants and decor you have in your tanks. Any and all types of planted tank pictures is appreciated!!!
I'm new to forums and not sure if making a thread for only a certain type of Betta is allowed, I didn't see anything in the rules about it. SO! My favorite Betta is a Crowntail~ I do own a Dragonscale and love him dearly, but something about Crowntails just make me want to sit them on a throne...
Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and betta fish ownership. My girlfriend bought a betta and we've sunk about $150 into the tank and supplies. My problem is that the betta won't eat. The setup is about a week old and the pictures are from today right after I cleaned the whole tank and set it back...
This is my new betta who is hiding in his cave! He loves his new tank but literally had a heart attack when I first put him in, he loves it now. He's a male crowntail named DA Vinci. Post picutres of your bettas!:-D
This is my first betta fish; I got him just a few weeks ago. I noticed yesterday and even more last night that his right pectoral fin looks sort of damaged. Like part of the "skin" has detatched from the fin structure and now sticks together near the base of his fin. (Having difficulty...
Mairon jumped out of his tank earlier and died while I was away. It was covered, but somehow he managed to get through the little space between the cover and the tank's edge and land on the floor :(
Here are my fave pics of him.
Hey guys, I was just wondering if someone could help me out on how to add pictures when you are commenting on threads. I know when you are creating a thread, you can easily select to import a picture, but when making a response, the icon is not there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)
I Purchased my first fish, a male Betta from the pet store yesterday , it was in dirty water bowl that stunk but I kept him in there for a day before putting him into a tank. the dimensions are 12H x 6l x 6w.There is no filter or heater. The tank is at 72 degrees. The edge of his fins are black...
Lone Ranger first, since, well he did come first ;)
and he has his own 2.5 tank:
Dont worry, all the tanks have lids
and now for the sorority tank, and each of the 5 girls (fingers crossed they all learn to get along, and stay healthy!)
In order from most aggressive to least: First up...
I currently have four male Bettas - three Splendens and a Smaragdina.
Two of my boys are healing up from some fin-tearing from plastic plants. Luckily, our petsmart finally carries live plants that aren't half-dead, and those plastic plants are out of the tanks now, and all injuries are examined...
